The wage on a PERM filing is the wage the employer committed to in a federal filing. Here is the whole distribution behind it, by occupation, by state and by year.

The two ends do not meet. Computer and Information Systems Managers open at $128,908 on the 5th percentile, which is 4.1 times what meat, poultry, and fish cutters and trimmers reach at the 95th ($31,408). There is no wage at which those two populations overlap, and they run through the same federal process at the same time.
Each row is one occupation's certified offers, sorted and cut at seven points. The order is filing volume, not pay: ranked by wage these rows would climb steadily, and the thing worth seeing is that the busiest occupations alternate between two scales instead. Hourly and other wage units are annualized before the percentiles are taken. The highest rate here is $40k to $50k at 7.26%, not the bottom of the range. 4 pairs of neighbouring bands go the wrong way. Where those bumps sit moves with the band edges, so the bumps are not a finding and no cause is offered for them: wage, occupation and employer are entangled in these filings and nothing here separates them.

The basics
What is a PERM salary, exactly?
The annual wage an employer committed to on the ETA-9089 filing, as published in the Department of Labor's own disclosure files. It isn't a survey estimate or a self-report: every figure on this page came off a federal filing, from 259,489 decided cases across FY2024 to FY2026 as of August 2026.
Why do green-card salaries matter?
A PERM filing must offer at least the prevailing wage DOL determines for the job and place, so these figures show what sponsorship actually pays by occupation. The salary explorer breaks the same data down by state and year.
