How we count it
Every night our sweep asks DOL’s case-status search about each case still waiting, 50 numbers at a time, and files each one by the status DOL gives back. Every count on this page adds up those answers.
100 cards sorted. 91 went to analyst review.
- Analyst review 81,690 the ordinary line, worked in filing order. 91 of every 100 cards.
- On hold 2,880 set aside by DOL, often an employer at a time. 3 of every 100 cards.
- RFI 581 DOL asked the employer for more. 1 of every 100 cards.
- Other review 97 a notice of intent to deny, an audit or supervised recruitment. Under 1 in 100 cards.
- Appeal 3,564 after a denial, at reconsideration or the Board. 4 of every 100 cards.
- Decided 753 certified, denied or withdrawn on DOL's last working day. 1 of every 100 cards.

What each source includes
Per-case statuses: Every PERM case DOL indexes, pending included. No wage, law firm or worksite: DOL reveals those only when a case is published.
Live PERM filings: The cases our sweep knows that DOL has not published yet, so they can be found by employer before any file lists them.
Review stages: How many pending cases sit at each review stage right now, counted live.
Decisions we observed: Status changes our sweep watched happen, from 26 August 2026 onward. Nothing earlier: DOL publishes a case's current status, never when it changed.
Wage request statuses: Live status of prevailing wage requests, pending included. The wage itself is not here; it arrives with the quarterly file.
Processing times: DOL's published queue position and average determination time. DOL's own figure, not ours.
Visa bulletin: Cutoff dates as the State Department published them each month. Nothing here is forecast.
