Find an LCA by employer

The start of the employer's name is enough. Add a word from the job title or a filing month if the employer files a lot.

Looking for everything one employer has filed? Search every DOL program at once for the PERM, the wage request, the LCA and any H-2A, H-2B or CW-1 filing side by side.

LCAs by the month they were filed

DOL has seven working days to certify an LCA (20 CFR 655.740), so only the newest filings are still waiting.

FAQs

What is an LCA?

A Labor Condition Application, form ETA-9035, is what an employer files before petitioning for an H-1B. It commits them to a wage and a named worksite, and DOL certifies it in days rather than months. An H-1B number starts with I-200; I-201 and I-202 are the H-1B1 for Chile and Singapore, and I-203 the E-3 for Australians. PERM Tracker holds every LCA in DOL's disclosure files from FY2020 to the newest quarter.

Is an LCA the same as an H-1B approval?

No, and the gap matters. An LCA is a wage-and-worksite promise certified by the Department of Labor; the H-1B petition itself is decided later by USCIS, a different agency. A certified LCA means the employer cleared the first step, not that anyone has been approved to work.

What does an LCA show that a PERM does not?

The wage an employer offered for a specific job at a specific worksite, published within months rather than years, which makes it the freshest public read on what a sponsor pays. A PERM filing is the permanent-residence route and takes far longer to appear. The two answer different questions about the same employer.

How does this work?

DOL numbers every filing from one running counter. This site walks it two or three times a day for new filings, then re-checks each LCA until DOL decides.

Why might one case be missing?

One filed today shows up after the next check. The live record fills in earlier filings backwards, so an older one may not be in it yet. Have the number? The case lookup asks DOL live, so it finds a case this list doesn't hold yet, and a mistyped number is worth checking first.

Waiting on a PERM case?

  • When it'll likely be decided
  • An email when DOL moves it

It's on your ETA-9089 receipt. It goes into the page's address, so you can bookmark the result.
