A case number gets you the status in plain English, what the queue in front of it looks like, and the employer's own record. It will not get you a decision date, and the page says why.
These statuses are read from DOL directly. The FLAG case-status search answers a batch lookup, and we run it against every undecided case every 12 hours and against all of them weekly. DOL publishes no documented API for this, so it is the same endpoint their own search page uses rather than a supported one. The date shown on each case is when the tracker saw it, not when we did, and it is a snapshot rather than a live feed. DOL is the authority for any case and this page is never a substitute for the determination letter. Check it yourself at flag.dol.gov.

Adjusted for this case's stage (p50 of its filing month). The ordinary path. The middle of your filing month is the right read.
Employers starting with J: +8 days. DOL works each filing month alphabetically by employer name, and this case is adjusted for that. It is a small term: across our corpus the whole alphabet spans about four weeks, and in a sixth of filing months the order ran backwards. The filing month matters far more.
DOL's published average: DOL reports an average of 372 calendar days to a determination. That average is taken over cases decided recently, so audited and long-running cases pull it up. Source: DOL FLAG processing times, as of 2026-08-28
Every model and its spread, side by side: the timeline calculator · how these numbers are computed
Every figure here is a count over the per-case snapshot. None of them is a date, and none of them is a rate this case will move at.
The ordinary queue. An analyst will work through it in filing order, and until they reach it nothing about the case changes. This is where the overwhelming majority of pending cases sit, and waiting is the whole of it.
91,168 cases are in this status right now, across every filing month. That is a measure of how common the state is, and nothing more. It is not how likely this case is to leave it or where it goes next: the feed has only been observing status changes since August 2026, and weeks of transitions cannot honestly price the odds of one.
Analyst review is the ordinary queue and it moves in filing order. Everything else takes a case out of that order, which is the honest answer to “DOL passed my month and I still have nothing”.
7,558 of the 7,559 still open are in analyst review.

A month is not slow or fast on its own. Two either side is enough to see whether this one is ordinary, and August 2026 is not the only thing DOL is holding.

DOL is working October 2025
84,516 undecided cases sit in the months drawn here, between the month DOL is working and yours. Another 4,841 were filed earlier still and remain open: cases held up in an audit, an appeal or a request for information, in months DOL has otherwise finished. Counting them takes the total filed before yours to 89,357. DOL publishes its own analyst-review position as November 2025, a month apart from where these counts put the front. Both are shown rather than one being picked.
7,714 cases were filed in August 2026. 155 of them have been decided so far, which is 2.0% of the month. That is early enough that the decided cases are almost entirely withdrawals rather than cases that ran their course, so no duration is quoted for this month.
