# PERM Tracker > PERM Tracker (permtracker.app) is a free web app for the US Department of Labor PERM (Program Electronic Review Management) labor certification process, for both the person waiting on a case and the attorney managing one. Without an account: look a case up by NUMBER across all three DOL programs - PERM (G-), prevailing wage request (P-) and H-1B LCA (I-200/I-203) - for its live DOL status and a stage-aware decision estimate (with email alerts on changes); or, with no case number at all, find it by employer name, law firm, worksite state or occupation. Use timeline calculators for every green-card stage (PWD, PERM, I-140, I-485), and browse DOL's own disclosure and queue data as searchable datasets. With a free account: case-management software that computes every interdependent PERM deadline per case. Every figure on this site is measured from a named federal source and carries the window it was measured over. Nothing is modelled. Where the data cannot support a number, the site says so rather than estimating one: there is no per-case denial-risk score, and processing-time estimates are withheld for filing cohorts too young to measure. ## Current figures - DOL is issuing PERM determinations for cases filed in December 2025 (as of 2026-09-22, from DOL's FLAG processing-times page). - Average calendar days from filing to determination: 336 (DOL's own published average for August 2026). - Decided PERM cases in the current disclosure window: 373,939, unioned and de-duplicated by case number from PERM_Disclosure_Data_FY2026_Q3.xlsx, PERM_Disclosure_Data_FY2025_Q4.xlsx, PERM_Disclosure_Data_New_Form_FY2024_Q4.xlsx, PERM_Disclosure_Data_FY2024_Q4.xlsx. - Overall PERM denial rate across that window: 3.2% of 355,130 decided cases. Withdrawals are counted as neither approvals nor denials. - Median offered annual wage on certified PERM cases: $103,272. These refresh when DOL publishes. Cite the date alongside the number. ## Data and calculators - [Case status lookup (PERM, prevailing wage and LCA)](https://permtracker.app/perm-case-status): Check a case number for its live DOL status, its place in the queue, and a stage-aware decision estimate. Takes all three DOL programs: PERM (G-), prevailing wage requests (P-) and H-1B LCAs (I-200 and I-203). Works for PENDING cases, not just decided ones, because it asks DOL directly rather than reading the quarterly files. Free, no account, and it emails when the status changes. No case number? Search by employer name instead. - [USCIS case status by receipt number](https://permtracker.app/uscis-case-status): Decode a USCIS receipt number (three letters and ten digits, like EAC2190123456): the office behind the prefix and the conventional reading of the digits. Live status from USCIS's Case Status API once USCIS issues API access; until then the page says so and links USCIS's own status page. USCIS's record of the I-140 or I-485, distinct from the DOL PERM lookup. - [Data overview](https://permtracker.app/tools): Where DOL's PERM queue stands right now, with every calculator and dataset one click away. - [PERM queue backlog](https://permtracker.app/perm-queue): Every filing month's pending census: how many cases are undecided, in which DOL queue, and how far each month has progressed. - [DOL debarment lists](https://permtracker.app/debarments): Every employer, attorney and agent barred from PERM, H-1B, H-2A or H-2B filings, with the period and the violation as DOL published them. - [PERM employers with cases on hold, at RFI or under appeal](https://permtracker.app/perm-employers/under-review): Every employer with PERM cases outside DOL's normal queue (on hold, at RFI or NORD, or under the employer's own appeal), by count and share, with the date each hold began and the days DOL moved an employer's cases in bulk. - [PERM RFIs, audits and appeals](https://permtracker.app/perm-rfi-audit): How many pending cases sit in a request for information, an audit or an appeal, and the measured funnel of how RFIs resolve. - [PERM daily decision activity](https://permtracker.app/perm-decision-activity): Decisions per working day, the outcome mix, and the weekly shape of DOL's output. - [PERM processing times](https://permtracker.app/perm-processing-times): Which filing month DOL is currently deciding, the average days to a determination, and how the queue frontier has moved. Read live from DOL's FLAG system. - [PERM denial rates](https://permtracker.app/perm-denial-risk): Measured denial rates by ETA-9089 answer, offered wage band, occupation, state and fiscal year. Group rates only: there is deliberately no per-case risk score. - [PERM salaries by occupation](https://permtracker.app/perm-wages): Median offered annual wage for every occupation in the disclosure window, with filing volume and approval rate. These are wages employers committed to in a federal filing, not survey estimates. - [PERM employers](https://permtracker.app/perm-employers): Every company that filed a PERM case, ranked by volume, with approval rate and median processing days. - [PERM law firms](https://permtracker.app/perm-attorneys): Every law firm filing PERM cases, with volume, approval rate and median processing days. - [PERM filings by state](https://permtracker.app/perm-by-state): Filing volume, approval rate and wages by worksite state, on a map and in a table. - [PERM case search](https://permtracker.app/perm-cases): Every PERM case: DOL's published files, plus every pending and newly decided case from DOL's daily check, searchable by employer, job title and filing month. - [PWD case search](https://permtracker.app/pwd-cases): Find a prevailing wage request (ETA-9141) by employer, job title and filing month, with the case number, filing date and DOL's current status. Live from DOL's daily check. - [LCA case search](https://permtracker.app/lca-cases): Find an H-1B labor condition application (ETA-9035) by employer, job title and filing month, with the case number, filing date and DOL's current status. Live from DOL's daily check. - [H-2A, H-2B and CW-1 case search](https://permtracker.app/seasonal-cases): Find an H-2A application (ETA-9142A, H-300- numbers) or job order (ETA-790A, JO-A-300-), an H-2B application (ETA-9142B, H-400-), a CW-1 application (ETA-9142C, C-500-) or an H-2B or CW-1 prevailing wage request (P-400-, P-500-) by employer, job title and filing month, with DOL's current status. Live from DOL's daily check, pending included; no wage or worker count. - [Search every DOL program at once](https://permtracker.app/case-search): One employer, law firm, worksite state or occupation searched across PERM, prevailing wage requests, H-1B LCAs and H-2A, H-2B and CW-1 filings together. DOL runs them all off one case-number counter but publishes them separately, so an employer's record is normally split across several searches; this returns them together, each result labelled with the program it came from. - [PERM calculators](https://permtracker.app/calculators): Every calculator in one place, with what each one answers. - [PERM decision estimator](https://permtracker.app/tools/perm-timeline-calculator): Reads a filing month against where DOL's queue actually is, and withholds an estimate when the cohort is too young to measure. - [PERM deadline calculator](https://permtracker.app/tools/perm-deadline-calculator): The ETA-9089 filing window, recruitment timing and the quiet period, per 20 CFR 656.17, capped by the prevailing wage expiration. - [Prevailing wage determination calculator](https://permtracker.app/tools/pwd-calculator): PWD queue position and expiration under the OEWS wage-year rule. - [Priority date and visa bulletin history](https://permtracker.app/tools/priority-date-calculator): Whether a priority date is current, and which way the cutoff has been moving across stored visa bulletins. Cutoffs move backwards as well as forwards. - [I-140 queue estimator](https://permtracker.app/tools/i140-calculator): USCIS I-140 volumes and outcomes by petition subtype. - [Green card timeline](https://permtracker.app/tools/green-card-timeline): The employment-based stages end to end, with what governs each one. - [PERM salary explorer](https://permtracker.app/tools/salary-explorer): What sponsorship actually pays, by occupation, state and year, from the wage committed to on each certified filing. Not a survey estimate: every figure came off a federal form. - [H-1B salary explorer](https://permtracker.app/lca-wages): The wage attested on certified H-1B LCAs, by occupation, worksite state and year, annualised from the unit each filing quoted: median, average and percentiles over the filings you select, from DOL's own disclosure files. - [Policy changes on the record](https://permtracker.app/policy-changes): Every Federal Register rule, proposed rule and notice from USCIS, DHS, State and DOL's ETA that matches PERM, prevailing wage, H-1B, I-140, adjustment of status, the visa bulletin or EB-5, with the Register's own abstract and a link to the document. No summaries, no predictions. - [Compare two employers](https://permtracker.app/perm-employers/compare): Two PERM sponsors side by side from DOL's own files: filings, certification and denial counts with their interval, median days, median wage, what is pending now, and the occupations and states each files for. - [Compare my offer](https://permtracker.app/tools/compare-my-offer): Where an offered salary sits among certified H-1B LCAs and PERM offers for the same occupation and state, as a percentile. The offer is placed in the browser and never sent to the site. - [Every case status, explained](https://permtracker.app/perm-case-statuses): What each DOL FLAG status means for a PERM, a prevailing wage request or an H-1B LCA (analyst review, RFI issued, on hold, appeals, certified, expired), with the regulation that defines it or a note that none does, and today's count. - [The visa bulletin by category and country](https://permtracker.app/visa-bulletin/categories): One page per employment-based bulletin line (EB-1 to EB-5, Other Workers, the EB-5 set-asides) for India, China, Mexico, the Philippines and the rest of the world: both charts this month, the final action cutoff a fiscal year at a time, and USCIS's own counts behind the line. No forecast. - [Family-sponsored cutoff history](https://permtracker.app/visa-bulletin/family): Every family-sponsored cutoff (F1, F2A, F2B, F3, F4) from the visa bulletin archive by country: the latest final action and dates-for-filing cutoffs, how far each moved, and every retrogression. No queue position, because USCIS publishes no family inventory. - [Layoff notices against sponsors](https://permtracker.app/layoffs): WARN Act layoff and closing notices as the states publish them (California, Texas, New York and Washington), matched by name to the employers in DOL's PERM record, each linked to the state's own file. - [Open data](https://permtracker.app/open-data): Two datasets as CSV and JSON under CC BY 4.0: every visa bulletin cutoff (employment and family, final action and dates for filing, by category and country) back to June 2005, every one since October 2014, and every reading of DOL's PERM and prevailing wage processing-times page we've kept. - [API and MCP server](https://permtracker.app/developers): A free JSON API (permtracker.app/v1, keys from Settings) and an MCP server (permtracker.app/mcp, no key needed) with six read-only tools: look up a PERM, prevailing wage, H-1B LCA or H-2A/H-2B case by number, estimate a PERM decision date, DOL's queues, the visa bulletin, and employer, law firm and occupation records. - [Badges](https://permtracker.app/badges): Embeddable SVG badges of DOL's own published figures, and every calculator, estimate and chart plus the case lookup as an iframe for other sites, with the HTML to copy. - [The guide for the person waiting, in Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean and Vietnamese](https://permtracker.app/zh): Checking a case, where DOL's queue is, the steps after PERM, EB-3 Other Workers and this month's cutoffs, in five languages: /zh, /es, /pt-br, /ko and /vi. Figures and DOL's status words stay as DOL prints them. - [Estimate scorecard](https://permtracker.app/estimate-scorecard): How close the decision-date estimates land: a weekly backtest that rebuilds DOL's queue on a past day and grades thousands of real decisions, a random sample of pending cases recorded every morning before the outcome and graded after, and the hand-recorded worked examples. Never edited. - [Glossary](https://permtracker.app/glossary): Every term of the employment-based green card defined in plain words with the regulation it comes from (PERM, PWD, priority date, cutoff, retrogression, RFI, audit, BALCA, portability), each linked to the page where it meets real data. - [RFI response deadline](https://permtracker.app/tools/rfi-deadline): The last day to answer a PERM request for information, counted from the date on DOL's letter under 20 CFR 656.20(b), with the calendar around it. - [Prevailing wage determination validity](https://permtracker.app/tools/pwd-validity): When a prevailing wage determination expires under 20 CFR 656.40(c), including the OEWS wage-year rule, and the recruitment or filing that must start inside it. - [H-1B six-year limit and the 365-day rule](https://permtracker.app/tools/h1b-six-year-limit): When H-1B status maxes out, and the last day to file a PERM so one-year extensions stay available under AC21 section 106(a). Each links to its full record. - [Top OPT and CPT employers](https://permtracker.app/opt-employers): ICE's own top-200 lists of employers of F-1 students on OPT, STEM OPT and CPT, for every year ICE published one, as ICE printed them. - [H-1B lottery odds calculator](https://permtracker.app/tools/h1b-lottery-odds-calculator): The OEWS wage level an H-1B offer meets for its occupation and work areas, read live from DOL's wage search, the level 8 CFR 214.2(h)(8)(iii)(A)(4) assigns, and DHS's estimated chance of selection at that level. - [Priority date retention and I-485 portability](https://permtracker.app/tools/priority-date-retention): From an I-140 approval date: when an employer's withdrawal stops revoking it, when a pending I-485 becomes portable under INA 204(j), and whether the priority date is kept. - [Prevailing wage levels](https://permtracker.app/tools/wage-levels): DOL's four OEWS prevailing wage levels for any occupation in any metro or non-metro area, read live from the OFLC wage search with the series year each figure belongs to. - [Green card government fees](https://permtracker.app/tools/green-card-fees): USCIS filing fees for the employment-based green card, from Form G-1055 with its edition date: I-140 and the asylum program fee tier, premium processing, I-485, I-765 and I-131 per person. - [I-140 filing trends](https://permtracker.app/tools/i140-trends): USCIS I-140 receipts, approvals and denials over time by petition subtype, with the quarter each figure was published for. - [I-485 queue position](https://permtracker.app/tools/i485-queue-position): Where an adjustment-of-status filing sits against USCIS's published pending inventory, by category and country of chargeability. - [The green card line: people ahead of a priority date](https://permtracker.app/tools/green-card-line): Everyone ahead of a priority date in EB-2, EB-3 and EB-3 Other Workers by country: approved I-140s waiting (USCIS's count, spread by the measured PERM time), pending I-140s, and current I-485s, with families counted from DHS and years at State's FY2024 Table V pace. Names one line as shorter only when the ranges don't overlap, and compares people, not waits. - [Which employment green card category fits](https://permtracker.app/tools/which-green-card): A few questions (sponsor, the job's minimum requirement, the person's qualifications, five statements) matched against 8 CFR 204.5's definitions and USCIS's national interest waiver test: which of EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-1C, EB-2, the EB-2 waiver, EB-3 and EB-3 Other Workers could apply, and what each needs.
